Why the program exists
Immigrant college students bring resilience, talent, and ambition—yet many face invisible barriers when entering U.S. higher education. Cultural adjustment, academic expectations, financial systems, immigration rules, and limited access to supportive networks can make an already demanding journey overwhelming.
Without intentional support, too many gifted students struggle alone.
The youth mentorship program was created to change that.

What Is the Annot Youth Mentorship Program?
The Annot Youth Mentorship Program is a 6-month, cohort-based mentorship experience that connects African immigrant students with mentors who understand their lived experiences and can help them successfully navigate U.S. college life.
Through mentorship, workshops, and community-building, the program equips students with:
-
Confidence in their identity
-
Practical academic and life skills
-
Professional guidance and networks
-
A sense of belonging and community
This holistic approach supports not only academic success—but long-term leadership and impact.
